This film was beyond unbearable. An insensitive, insufferable, selfish movie about a mother who singlehandedly deescalates a school shooting through an unrealistic series of phone calls, while out on her morning jog. Purely written for drama and an unfortunate missed opportunity to address the heavy underlying issues surrounding school shootings.
This movie feels like an exploitation of school shootings as it does nothing to raise awareness, and concludes with a feeble, careless, insincere call to action. It is an invitation to a one-sided pity party and poorly written plot twist.
I am actually surprised by how much I dislike this movie. There are very few movies that disappoint me so much that I begin actively advocating against it. This is one of them.
