The American adaptation sucks!!!! If you want to watch an actual talented cast and an actually lol funny show, watch the British version that we Yanks are trying to imitate, aka ripoff. The American version is a cheap subpar imitation of a GREAT, clever, witty, FUNNY, nuanced show whose characters have chemistry, depth, style, and a sweet subtleness about them. Mischievous caveman Robin, the Captain, unrequited love "poet" Thomas, Pat (aka Richard III), Mary, and MP sex addict Julian are my favorites; innocent Kitty is hilarious too---actually they all are. Allison and Mike are perfect in their roles as the living occupants of the once grand estate. They ALL play their characters to perfection with consummate professionalism and acting ability, witty dialogue & snappy retorts. Moreover, don't forget that great dry understated British humor. I hope the BBC decides to film a 4th season. Don't waste your time on the US CBS version, just stale unfunny jokes that are almost taken verbatim from its British counterpart across the pond...AND, like Lady Fanny Button every day when she falls out the window, they still fall flat. The CBS US version couldn't deliver a funny line if they had a fleet of UPS trucks...THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THE CBS VERSION ONE STAR IS BECAUSE ZERO STARS IS NOT AN OPTION.
