I like Us and Get Out as much as the next person, but don't expect the same level of intensity inn this lemon. The only unsettling parts are in the monkey part (from a side-character's backstory taking up probably 10 minutes of the total screentime), the rest of the movie is a monumental waste of time.
The acting is good, great cinematic camera work and production, but plot is just ridiculous. Not one scene outside of the monkey subplot is even a little scary or unsettling. If you can stay awake past the first 2 hours by the end of the movie you will be rewarded with a silly and predictable final bossfight/chase scene with a somewhat unrewarding ending.
Basically, it tries to do the artsy thing of being really deep with an overarching theme to "teach" a lesson to the viewers and somewhat original ideas on paper. The result is a drawn-out fight against a silly kite monster, or bedsheet jellyfish, whatever you want to call it.
