HORRIBLE!!!! I loved Scooby Doo as a kid. When I saw that Velma was an adult version, I was so excited! I was hoping that it would honor the original style, mood, characters and respect the sentimentality viewers have for it. This however, should be it's own show- not be based on a beloved cartoon. When it was described as "mature" I knew there would be some sexual elements (though I hoped there would be very little because I think that's the wrong direction to take) but I was expecting there to be more sophisticated writing and a clever mystery not cheap jokes like cockroaches humping on the floor within the first couple of minutes and naked high girls getting into fights in the shower. This show is out there just to make a buck off of a classic, nothing more. The only positive aspect is the diversity of the cast. Other than that, It's obnoxious, poorly written and the characters are unlikeable and the show should be canceled.

I love detective shows/books that take place in Florida!! i would have loved The Glades; it's cute, light-hearted, predictable, you don't have to pay close attention to it because it follows a formula. Sometimes you need these kinds of shows, like Eureka and Psych. I loved those shows! The main problem with this show was that Jim had to arrest 2-3 people each time before getting the right one making him look inept up until the end. What cop keeps arresting people whenever he wants to? It's absurd and hilarious at the same time and correct police procedure was completely ignored. Daniel and Carlos were great. Just wish there was more creativity with the plots.

I absolutely love the premise of the show! The actors are great, beautiful environment and the campiness is refreshing. The only thing I would like to see in the next season is smoother writing perhaps. It all seems a bit disjointed. The sentimental scenes and personal stories seem a bit forced, like more of an after thought. I feel like they should take their time and make it more natural. The same mistake was made for Resident Alien which I loved for the most part as well.
