The creative vision to have every indoor scene lovingly wreathed in the wafting tendrils of smoke from multiple cigarettes is brilliant! Because that is EXACTLY how it was in the 60s and 70s: everyone smoked, and it was so, so cool! People forget that. That is why I am a fan of this incredible series that shows what smoking was really like back then. And also, something about space or whatnot. God, the courage of these artists! I am super-looking forward to the episodes or entire seasons where everyone is dying of cancer. Because that is also how it was in the 60s and 70s, and it was so, so cool. Until then, I wish the actors would make an effort to hack and cough up phlegm constantly. And I wish they had that leathery alligator skin that we all grew up with. Based on this lack of commitment to the joys and details of real smoking, I am docking this series 4 stars.
