If you look closely at the movie, it explores society's expectations of the perfect daughter in law and it criticizes the insane standards we look for on dating apps. The critics are dumb. Some mention that they wanted more of a love story, but the whole point of the movie is that shahid's character doesn't understand that love between two humans requires accepting their flaws.
