I’m a 56 yrs old sports video game junkie. I’ve played every type of football video from Intelvision football to techno bowl football to basically every Madden game from its conception to this years version of Madden. The same can be said for NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Every year till 2014, as that was the final year of NCAA Football.
When this game was announced to return this year. I was extremely excited for its release because of all the advancements that were Madden to the Madden platform and really expected NCAA College Football 24 to be a true simulation game that had all the bells and whistles of a Morten day football video game.
A game that would include all the best attributes from the 2014 game with the visuals and new dynamics of today’s football video games.
Instead NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL comes across like an arcade game visually. Due in large part to not being able to adjust players attributes like speed , acceleration and tackling power. There is no game speed adjustment to make the look and feel like a real simulation game of football. Instead players run at high speeds and bounces of tackles like a ping pong ball. Instead of showing the detailed features of tackling and breaking tackles . Kickers constantly hit 55 to 60 yard field goals. Screen plays are obliterated by lineman and linebackers coming unblocked to hit the quarterback before the can release the pass. And other gameplay issues that really makes a game that would have been the best football sim ever created, to just being a decent arcade game for children under the age of fifeteen.
Really disappointed in the final product after waiting over ten years for this…. EA Sports should really be embarrassed for releasing a product like this with real players name and image attached that comes across like an arcade game like techno bowl in 2024???????? Give the buyer the option to play the game as an adult. To play a real simulation of college football. Madden does it. Why come short of a game platform that is under EA Sports and not in this. Really disappointing and honestly really mad that EA allowed this error not to be corrected.
