Wonderful, wonderful film. If you can go in and let it be (no pun intended... okay, a little bit intended) what it is, the film can be transcendent, if only because of the key moments of the film (which I won't give away.) The movie is a tenderly paced love song to the Beatles and their music. A world without it is unimaginable, and the desire to preserve it runs at through the heart of it. I feel sorry for those who were so wrapped up in wanting the movie to be something specific that they missed the chance to allow it to simply be and appreciate what the music means to each character, not to mention the underlying commentary on the music business, fame, money, and meaning. This movie is brilliant, though I think a number of viewers will miss that in their own conceit.
