Beautiful film. Bill Nighy at his best. Sensitive,poignant,insightful understated acting. How sad that what was portrayed is sometimes the reality of what happens when ones own mortality is truly faced. The expression ‘live each day as if it were your last and garden as if you will live forever’. Comes to mind. Setting and cinematography just gorgeous. Dialogue made more meaningful by the nuances and pauses. Sometimes what wasn’t said spoke more. Watched it twice in two days. Will definitely do so again.
