The concept is interesting, but the movie ends up being something you’d see on mystery science theater 3000 with Joel and the robots making fun of it. This movie is a joke. In the hands of a capable director, they might’ve had something here, but it suffers from so many flaws. The editing is absolutely terrible. They cut the scenes of what supposed to be a rural road leading onto a main artery and they have a stock footage shot of an interstate highway crowded with cars, but the lightning doesn’t match and it doesn’t seem plausible in that location. They use the same piece of footage twice. When the the hydrogen bomb goes off, it’s enormous, but they mix it up with atomic bomb footage from the Nevada testing grounds and it just doesn’t match. And you really have to suspend this belief on Ray. Milland’s character decides to drive back into Los Angeles as though he’d never heard of radiation. They mention radiation in the air just once, but nobody seems to have any problems with it. When the bomb goes off, there’s not a tremor there’s, no wind no sound of explosion no EMP effect. The music is absolutely terrible. Sometimes sounds like music you find in one of those educational movies from the 1950s on good hygiene or getting in corporate setting while there in a car chase scene. There is a little bit of inspiring jazz at the beginning, but it quickly is discovered to be wrong for the movie. Physical effects. People get shot point blank with a shotgun in the stomach from 7 feet away and they just fall down. There’s no blood no guts no nothing. His own son gets shot in the leg and they say he’s lost a lot of blood, but there isn’t a drop on his rolled up blue jeans or on the floor where it occurs. This happens repeatedly. The acting is corny, the script uninspired, the cinematography and lighting flat. Yes Ray Milland is an acting legend but he can’t direct to save his life - this seems to have been put together by a 13 year old. If you wanna laugh and make fun of the movie, watch it. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

Absolutely brilliant writing, directing and some of the sharpest acting I’d ever seen.

Worst movie I ever saw. The plot is non-existant. Tim Roth’s portrayal of a bell hope as some sort of spastic noodle like meth addict who speaks in squeeks and partial sentences is insufferable. He adds nothing to the shit plot. I expected more from Tarintino’s writing. We made part way through the second sketch before stopping the DVD. Don’t waste your time, it’s complete crap.

One of the best movies I’d ever seen. It’s extremely relevant in today’s political media environment. Also, Andy Griffith shows his brilliant acting range well beyond what we tend to think of him when he played the iconic Sheriff Andy Taylor.

A very funny, clever satire about love and Americans politics.

See Capt. Kirk provide a distraction to the evil aliens on a distant planet with 20th century dirt bike that just happened to have gas in it! See Capt. Kirk just be at the right place at exactly the right time in an enormous space station to turn off the air vents and even though he has no idea what he’s looking for he saves the day! See Spock enter an unknown alien space craft an immediately understand how to reprogram its guts! Marvel at the use of the 1990’s Beastie Boys “Sabotage” broadcast over old TV waves to destroy the incoming alien bee hoard and save the day! Pandering, wafer-thin cliche writing, obvious in where it’s going! Shallow character development. You put this on maybe as background noise but that’s about not as a go to movie for the evening.

Independent, insightful, accurate with a take no prisoners attitude with a goal of improving America.

In the hands of a better director, better script writer, maybe some better casting and this a better casting director, cinematographer and real lighting director they might have had something here. In other words, if Mel Brooks weren’t involved with this movie at all. The constant winking at the audience, and the cheesy jokes, and adolescent humor wear thin. If you want to see this type of film done brilliantly, watch Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life, The Life of Brian or The Holy Grail. It’s as the Brooks watched those movies and said to himself, “I can do that do too!” Except he can’t. It’s really not worth the watch.

Loved it! The casting was excellent, the story was perfectly told.

One of the most unnecessarily confusing scripts ever written! Generally speaking. It makes little sense, unless you read the Wiki plot description. Anyone who tries to defend poor writing by blaming on the audience's being not sophisticated is just acting as an elitist and just feels like defending bad writing. The acting, casting and editing are tight, but this film is a complete waste of time. Here's a little tidbit from Roger Ebert's site: “Tenet” spends roughly two hours of its 150-minute run time explaining what is happening, why it is happening, and what might happen next. And yet even with that it’s still incredibly difficult to follow because Nolan goes so far down his own rabbit hole of time travel that one almost needs to take notes to keep up (and I still think it arguably wouldn’t all add up if they could). Scene after scene of Washington, Pattinson, Branagh, and Debicki trying to convey the plot becomes exhausting, and it's Christopher Nolan's biggest mistake.' There are much better and series out their, Check out Continuum if you want to see a Sci-Fi future meets the past type of a series.
