Starts with good intent but just falls to pieces and has some quite immense holes all over it before it crashes into the most ridiculous of closing sequences. Swims through a freezing Norwegian fjord in a heavy cardigan and comes out the other end to find a cabin with a chest of clothes exactly her size. At the same time a piece of paper in her back pocket remains completely unaffected, not one smudge. Half the crew are in on the plot, except the head of security who doesn't know anything. Gains entry to a ticket only event even though they want her dead, after miraculously finding a ball gown in the middle of nowhere, then gets the microphone and everyone who has spent the whole film telling her she's mad suddenly stops and listens to her every word Wouldn't you check her signature on the documents? Why would you put someone in the cabin next to an investigative journalist when you have a multi floor yacht? Supposedly the scene of a crime yet they leave the door open and unguarded Some rock star turns up on his own speedboat, sings a song and then leaves - offering absolutely no context or depth And so on, and so on. That was my time you wasted, you are not forgiven.....

Love the backdrop but the stories really have got increasingly thin as the series have progressed. Series 7, the latest one, was by far the weakest. Arresting someone just because they had the same initials as circled in a book? Really? And constantly letting police officers go and investigate crime scenes without a partner - when will they learn. But the main point was the plot, it starts with a group open water swimming, someone nearly drowns, no reference ever again. They deploy armed officers to an oil facility based on the suggestion "it's probably where they'll go". Just all feels very rushed and poorly thought through. And to the finale, which I will try to describe without spoilers, we have a key character who is one day prepared to die for the cause and the very next willing to throw their entire career away because they "think" someone has been incorrectly charged. Not great, by any means.
