Excellent film, it really drives home the sacrifice that Jesus went through for our sins. It's an emotional rollercoaster, even if you're not a believer, I can guarantee at some point you'll tear up. I originally watched this in 2004 in a theater. I was a Christian in name, but had almost zero faith. This film had a profound effect on me , led me to reading the Gospels and reignited my faith in Jesus Christ as our lord and savior. I just recently rewatched it after realizing it was the twentieth anniversary. It was hard not to burst out in tears throughout certain parts of the film. I'm looking forward to the sequels exploring the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I hope they're released soon!

Bad on so many levels with an ending that actually pissed me off with how stupid it was. The concept of the movie was fantastic, cyber attacks disrupting communications and travel, misinformation and civil war. But most of that takes place in the background as the characters are treated as being in a cheap moody horror movie. The characters themselves are mostly dull, unlikable and horribly written. The kind of unlikeable that makes you shout at the tv with how obtuse and stupid they act. Also, the way this movie was shot with extremally unnecessary side angles like the director wasn't sure if it was an art film, horror film, sci-fi film or a typical Sam Raimi film. Did I mention the ending? It didn't end, it was a non-ending that abruptly came out of nowhere that resolved absolutely nothing. Skip this film, you get nothing from it and will never get those 2 plus hours of your life back.
