Finished the whole series the first day it was released. As an avid fan of both the anime and manga, I wasn't really expecting it to be a complete adaptation, considering its plot (based on the trailer), but I still gave it a shot, and it didn't disappoint!. The whole series is great; I can see some references to the original anime/manga in some scenes - the death of an important character or loved ones of the protagonist by swift beheading and soon replaced by the parasite; and collaborating with a once-enemy to kill another parasite. I also like the way it portrays the point of view in other countries, particularly in South Korea, considering it's an alien-invasion-kind-of-movie. It just fell short in terms of the number of episodes; the whole series could have been better in expanding the story. The CGI's okay for me, but it could have been done better, considering I have higher expectations for a Korean movie. Some fight scenes could have been better, but they're still pretty good. The acting is pretty good especially the way the parasite characters act as emotionless being and try to express some emotions awkwardly. Some characters could have also been done better such as when being attacked, I can hardly hear the soldiers briefly shouting or maybe it's just on the English audio because I can hear some on the Korean audio. I also like the way they include Shinichi at the end of the final episode. I can't wait for the next series!
