This is a superbly acted and cinematically brilliant film. That being said, it would have been an even better film if 50% of the sex scenes and 25% of the rest had been cut. It was, simply put, way too much of a good thing. By the time Emma Stone’s evil husband resurfaced, I was more than ready for the closing credits. Unfortunately, an entire lengthy chapter followed his arrival. Overall, « Poor Things «  is a clever, unique, dreamlike x-rated horror/fairytale. If that quirky genre appeals to you, don’t miss it.

Cleverly written and full of likable characters, but after a few episodes it’s just too much, too cute, too repetitive, too predictable. By the 4th episode I found myself waiting for the next f bomb and feeling sad that I was so quickly bored.
