This film got such bad reviews I actually didn't bother to watch it until recently. The bad: Brad does this annoying commentary occasionally and it's just... ridiculous. You can tell he was taking a shot at Interstellar with this one, but he missed. Then there are the pointless cameos by Donald Sutherland ( I suppose he needed to pay bills and called in a favor ) and Liv Tyler, but luckily neither has much screen time. The Good: Excellent special effects and life like environments with a decent score make this fun to watch on any good home setup, and it also has a "journey" feel to it which helps with the digestion of an otherwise sloppy story. I was rolling strong with White Widow the whole movie, a strong hybrid, but with this being a bit of a sleeper i suggest some nice indica to accent the scenic views of space. In the end, it was better than I expected, but not much : )

This film was so bad I had to watch it in sections. The film builds no relationship between the movie's main characters, and the plot is impossible to follow as it never really fully forms in the first place. Because it's billed as a science fiction fantasy, you hope that there would be at least some cool special effects with magic or something paranormal, but instead we are served up scene after scene of bullet shells hitting the ground like we're watching "The Matrix". It's like seeing Arnold do a family film for the first time, or watching hollywood try again and again to get Rihanna into films, it just doesn't work. Don't waste your time with this microwave dinner of a movie, but if you are forced watch I recommend a good 70/30 indica/sativa hybrid to get you to the finish line.
