A complete and total mess. The plot seems like it was written by a half-dozen people who weren't allowed to see each other's work. It's staggeringly incoherent. I didn't think it was possible to make a Star Wars movie worse than "Attack of the Clones", but I'm sad to say I was mistaken. While the acting and dialogue in episode II was abysmal, at least that horrible film seemed to understand its own storyline (and its relation to the film's preceding and following it) and offered some type of character development. This film has the feel of something that was rushed out to meet a deadline and to placate the most toxic elements of the franchise's fanbase.
