Loved reading The Palace of Illusions till it’s last page. Mahabharata is an epic in itself. This book shows that any story can be retold with different perspectives. Reading this book will make you wonder who was fighting a righteous war, probably neither Yudhistir nor Duryodhan.
There were several magical metaphors in the book. My personal favourite is about how outermost petals of a flower shape the inner petal but the inner petals would never know the older outer ones.
I could sense the love of writer for Krishna and it made me fall in love to the divine god too.
Well written book considering it could not drift away much from the original story.
