A must read for biblical counseling practitioners. This book clarifies issues concerning the various and myriads of counseling approaches out there. It simplifies through a basic approach of understanding the body of knowledge and it's authority (see Ch 3 The bible and epistemology) in order to justify the biblical counseling premise of pre -supposed pre - determined epistemology. The guiding principles of authority besides it being the very "Word of God" also further affirms and substantiates through referring to David Wolfe's book "Epistemology: The Justification of Belief" the criteria for knowledge by using his 4 C's (consistency, coherence, comprehensiveness and congruity to drive home the point that the bible meat all of that. In addition there's is reference to the VITEX and COMPIN construction of building a counseling model that is biblical to even our pre modern society and it's challenged disorders.
