Desher mati is an entertaining Bengali serial showcasing urban mentality vs rural approach to life and family. relationship. The entire cast is portraying their role very well ..must mention excellent acting by mejka, his wife ,Kian and dadan.. Sometimes it is their acting which keeps the audience interest in this show. But two actors whose roles are totally redundant are Ujjayini and dodo. Not only are they very poor actors they are the show spoilers. Both need to take some acting lessons and learn dialogue delivery. Ujjayini should stop holding on to Noa throughout last two episodes as if she’s a very sick person. Her expressions are silly and dull. Dodo speaks too fast and looks rude. Their roles are not required especially since they have poor acting skills and cannot match with the acting of the rest of the cast all of who are excellent actors including shobuj! Their should be a twist to the story after the wedding to hold the audience interest. Kian is expected to show some personality towards his long time girl friend and feelings towards his parents. Just by putting shidoor on over smart girl Noa he cannot forfeit his responsibility to his family. Noa has confronted slapped dangerous and rogue man like Shibu das inspite of her mother’s repeated warnings.

Kharkuto is a light story less serial that can be watched first few episodes but now the entire family is taking it too far. The members of this joint family have nothing better to do except eavesdrop on the good son’s life and his relationship with his good for nothing wife. Gungun is just overdoing and overacting her part. Though she’s past her college age but her behaviour like a married baby is sometimes too much to digest. A young girl of her age needs a teddy to sleep ? Isn’t it a bit of an overkill ? This serial is going aimlessly without a story and getting extremely much boring. The only good actor is Babin. His role makes some sense. Potka’s acting and his role is totally redundant. He and that entire crew looks and sound very silly and that Boudibhai with her nasal is so irritating . There should be some Interesting storyline for audience to keep their interest. And potka and his crew should stop overacting.
