As far as the movies go compared to the book, this is one of the better ones. While the book is undoubtedly better, the movie is a great portrayal of the book for how long it is. I do believe that there could be a little bit more put into the movie compared to how long the book was. I donโt love how this was the shortest movie yet the longest book. While I do also believe that the book was a little bit dragged on, it does still contain a lot that the movie doesnโt. Some examples include St. Mungoโs Hospital, the conversation of Harry and Dumbledore at the end of the movie (I know that this scene was included in the movie but it was 10 times better in the book). I would be ok with Chris Columbus leaving things out of the movie that were in the book as long as the things in the movie were shown to the fullest extent. However, this movie does contain the best battle scene in all of the movies. The Department of Mysteries battle is by far, in my opinion of course, the best scene in all of the movies. This of course leaks into the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort. I thought that in the book, this scene as a whole was very tough to follow. Whereas in the movie, the scene was simple, but very good. As a whole, this movie is probably my favorite and while it does have its flaws, it is very good.
