First, I must say that I am a HUGE fan of both Christopher Pike and Mike Flanagan. Christopher Pike was my first literary love. I've read all of his works as a teenager (literally devoured them - couldn't get enough of his stories), and as an adult, I've watched all of Mike Flanagan's genius works. I was so excited to hear about this project, but I can't deny there is a tinge of disappointment now that I've watched the entire 10 episodes.
I truly loved how Mike weaved in some of Christopher's other stories, literally using the name of the books as their title. Sadly, he didn't really do Mr. Pike's work justice. It would be awesome to see Mike make movies from each of Christopher's novels, or an ongoing show for each novel - or like an anthology series and each season is the entirety of one of his books.
All I can say is, I really hope there is at least one more season to tie up those loose ends and unanswered questions. The ending didn't seem like an ending at all, so I honestly hope there will be a second season!
I still think this was a worthwhile watch, and again, I really hope Mike takes on more Christopher Pike books!
