Baby is an beautifully written coming of age drama with a amazing screenplay and performances. This on the whole looks like a love triangle but it is not just that it is 3 characters making mistakes finding themselves to put it precise it is just them relflecting the human nature in them which is flawed & fluctuates. Another best thing about the film is it never judges anyone from the world. Even after vaishnavi does something which usually must bring a rage during the vieweing makes us feel sorry for her is where the writing peaked. It has many beautiful monolouges to state some the scene where vaishnavi mocks about a phone which anand gifted here we arrive to a point to judge vaishnavi but immeiately anand does the same by using words to shame her character where both become the same. The best part is to again highlight is the human nature that baby addresses so well that no matter how much we try to be the person we want to be. The circumstances people and the place decides what we become and most importantly it deep dives into the teens of the character where not just things but it is hormonal for things to take place. I loved the metaphors the film has like 2 events happens on 2 birthdays which was brilliant writing in every sense. Performances makes this a wholesome film anand devarkondas monolouge where he says he dosent know how to react for something he heard breaks our heart for sure it is one teriffic performance. Vaishnavi with the complicated writing pulls it of so well she has a roller coaster to deal with and she just eases it with teriffic performances. Viraj ashwin with a confused character who is not sure about the decisions he makes also does it with perfection. Vijays score is perfect baby being a melodrama vijay keeps it on point without over imposing the score to flush it out instead he leaves the performances and the writing take the front seat. The palleting with blues for anand and red for vaishnavi is again another brilliant choice. I wished the mother son dynamic was more explored but with what it has it surely makes your heart ache when anand delivers a dialouge during last minutes with his mother. The film has everything on track to make it one amazing film. Sai rajesh has pulled off one beautiful film which is near to 3 hours but leaves us wanting more โค๏ธ
