In past seasons, we enjoyed watching Father Brown as a prelude to other shows we enjoy more. It was light, predictable, and fairly amusing, with the focal points being the older woman and the younger woman. In this new incarnation, the two women have disappeared and been replaced with two ridiculous new female characters who are totally implausible and annoying to the max. We gave up after the first three episodes.
