First of all I have actually signed into my Google account just to leave this review, which speaks volumes. Let's start by saying I have never liked a single film that Adam Sandler has starred in. Happy gilmour was probably the closet I've ever come to watching a whole film with him in it.
But after watching Uncut Gems i was even more confused to why he has spent a whole career starring in films that clearly didn't show his true potential. This film in every aspect from direction to casting was simply amazing. Sandlers performance was strong, convincing original and you really did absorb yourself into his character and not the actor. This film has some prestigious award written all over it, especially for best lead roll. Highly recommend this film to anyone that what's to see a young Al pacino roll in a modern day new York.
