Tonight’s story about the Atlanta Police was completing lacking in two key points. The officers that shot Rayshard Brooks were reinstated to their jobs about 2 weeks ago. In addition, in the aftermath of the shooting, local thugs took over the former Wendy’s restaurantand blocked the public road. Mayor Bottoms let this occupation by gun brandishing thugs go on for a week while directing police officers to stand down. The occupation lasted until an innocent girl was murdered when her parents happened to turn the wrong direction on University Boulevard. Her death is the true crime in this unfortunate chain of events. While I agree that trust needs to be rebuilt between police and the neighborhoods, lets not forget who actually has blood on their hands, Mayor Bottoms!
