They got it right! After truly disappointing many fans with Solo and The Last Jedi, this is EXACTLY what is needed to make this franchise special again. We need to see this kind of micro, street-level, character-driven story line to make it feel more real. CGI-heavy, epic space battles have their place, but they have recently become expensive distractions that actually detract from the feel of the movie. High marks on this one, Team!

After the Crystal Skull, I approached this one with more than a hint of trepidation. I feared the “corporate entity” would repeat the formulaic disaster that Indiana Jones 4 was. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! This was the PERFECT Indiana Jones movie. I’m not sure what Lucasfilm and Disney have planned for the franchise, but if this is the last Indiana Jones movie we see, I will die happy. There was real care and respect given to both the characters and the story. One only wished they gave the same respect to the characters and story of Star Wars. Note to Kathy Kennedy: Andor is brilliant! That’s the type of Star Wars story you need to tell. For the time being, enough of the galaxy-spanning, macro-level stuff. The future of Star Wars has ALWAYS been in the story telling. Focus on the story telling, not the formulas that worked in the past!!!
