Was so excited for this one, trailers were so amazing, I guess wasn't wrong in expecting same standards. 1. Felt rushed. Too rushed that some scenes that were written amazing in book felt irrelevant here. It was just added for the sake of adding. The true essence was squeezed cuz of the pace and timing constraint that's too transparent to audience watching it. 2. The side characters were given 3 lines max each. This should be a mini series where the viewer gets to drown in Alex and Henry's world first. 3. The cinematography and location were on point and amazing. But what's the point when short dialogues have reduced the effort by not giving the audience any connection to the scenes. 4. To be honest, I felt Henry was a lil bad at acting in some places. And that's totally director 's fault. Cuz I have seen Nicholas work in purple hearts he is just amazing! 5. Like where is the chemistry? and lust? the book showed. You guys had such a good chance to make it such a great one. You just cut everything! 6. I think all the best scenes were already out in trailers and I must say important scenes. So it dint feel surprising at all. The movie released on 11th and I watched it the hour of its release in and I am not very impressed.
