My brother and I have been buying and playing this franchise since fifa14, and as much as I would like to trauma dump on this game, it is actually more sad than anything. I will never forget us packing a gold BVB aubameyang and using it all year. Or finally completing the last special de rossi card. Or generally the years of fun this game used to give us. But for the last few years this has gotten worse and worse. This year we have finally decided to stop paying for this garbage. I made a post 2 years ago that echoed my sentiments about many of the issues that I started to see becoming a pattern and this is the last straw for me. From terrible mechanics to laggy menus, to downright atrocious lack of care for anything other than pilling up money from vulnerable kids, this game is a terrible money grab. So EA even tho I know you wont see this or any other of these posts begging you to bring back the game we all once loved, goodbye and thank you for all the years when this game actually cared about itself and the memories I will have for the rest of my life of my little brother and I playing until the sun came up. Lastly, for any parent, I beg you please DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR KIDS!!! (And if you do, I genuinely hope it gets better so they can have the same memories my friends, my brother, and I all have of this franchise)

It’s fun for the first 20-30 hours or on a lower difficulty but once you kick the difficulty up you get to experience how terrible this game really is. Defending is a joke, the way the ball will magically bounce to the ai after a tackle, the wonder tackles that the ai back line put in and the ai blocking is absolutely insane plus the cherry on top is you can have 90% possession 200 passes and xg of 10 and lose 2-1 and the opponent will only shoot 3 times. Realism… somehow I doubt maldini, puyol, nesta and Prime neuer play for every single team in the game, so how am I getting an xg above 4 most games and having 7 blocked shots, 9 saves against and 0 goals, just to lose 2-0. Lastly, the most infuriating thing is the way that once you’ve played for over 20 hours you can tell what games you will lose, ie. tie game in the 70th min and suddenly all your shots are blocked, your passes don’t go where they’ve been going all game, you defence looks like a slice of Swiss cheese and I’m not kidding you’ll have a shot blocked or a pass not go where you want it too around 85th min and be like yup they’re about to counter and score to win the game. God, please fix your game… I miss fifa 16.
