Moana was released in 2016 and was the 56th Disney-featured film. Moana is a girl who is limited by her culture and father to stay inside the reef. Moana feels called to the ocean but every time she gets near a boat she is yelled at by her father. Her father's best friend died when he and his friend went outside of the reef. Moana’s grandma encourages her to explore the ocean. Moana’s grandma always told her that when she dies she will be a stingray. She ended up dying and one day Moana finally started her quest. Her grandmother gave her the heart of Te Fiti. She learned that the ocean had chosen her to restore the heart before a disease spread to all of the islands. Moana has to find Maui to help her restore her heart. She finally finds him and they have to find Maui’s magical hook. They find Maui’s hook and they embark on their quest. She sees her grandma as a stingray and reminds her that she was chosen for a reason and she needs to continue her quest. They soon learn that the calm island of Te Fiti had turned into an exploding volcano that was no longer peaceful. Can Moana and Maui survive Te Fiti and Restore her heart? The climax is when Moana and Maui make it to Te Fiti and tries to restore her heart. The rising action is when Maui finds his hook and when the coconut people attack their ship. My favorite scene is when Moana is riding home on her boat after restoring the Heart of Te Fiti. She sees the sea turtle she saved as a kid and her grandma a stingray. This scene reminds me that there are signs of your passed loved ones all around us. Moana has an amazing outfit and I think that it is amazing how the tattoos move on Maui. Moana is the best Disney movie because she is different from other princesses. She doesn't need a man and the whole point of her story is to explore while you are still young. Moana never marries a man like in the typical Disney movie. Usually, the girl is not the royal bloodline, but the prince is, in Moana Moana was born a princess. I think this is a great Disney movie and all Disney lovers would love to watch this movie. This is a fun story about a girl on an epic quest.
