I'm a die hard BB fan, but so far, from this pilot episode, I'm not impressed. I feel like they're trying too hard to duplicate BB, which they're failing at miserably, unfortunately. I was excited for this new show to see how it would compete with BB, but there's no competition. BB hands down was a better show! And what's with this idea of Sean being in the hospital and only Erin shows up?! Anyone who knows anything about BB knows the ENTIRE family would be by his bedside! That. Goes. Without. Saying. And am I the only one who thinks Sarah Silver is a wanna be Eddie (Janko) Reagan? I do feel like this first episode was trying to lay the groundwork for the series, but too matchy matchy. It seemed very forced. I will give it a few more episodes before I completely write it off though because I really do want to like it. I hope it gets better, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Not enough accurate research done w regards to JW's beliefs. Reason for refusing blood not scripturally supported. KH portrayal depressing, cold & unwelcoming to say the least. Two different plots taking place, one a JW teen who "needs" a blood transfusion but refuses due to religious beliefs & the other a judge whose marriage is in trouble. Very choppy. Loved Emma Thompson in Saving Mr. Banks & nothing wrong w her acting in this movie per se, but disappointed due to the lack of research. Portrayed JW's in a bad light, sadly. Would not recommend this film.

Such an eye opening film! Wow! Julia Roberts is amazing in this role. I can't even imagine how gut wrenching & exhausting it is to have a child who is addicted to drugs! This movie gives just a 24 hr glimpse into the family of an addict. What a roller coaster of emotions! And it's not like your typical movie that ends with a happy ever after ending, it just ends, leaving you to wonder what happens next. What an emotional movie! 😢👍
