A Perfect Pitch for Summer I recently read it while in the midst of packing and moving, and it turned out to be just what I needed during a hectic time. The story provided a delightful escape, with a light and easygoing tone that perfectly complemented the chaos of relocating. The plot, intertwined with a satisfying dose of romance, added a charming layer to the narrative. Admittedly, the ending was somewhat predictable, but then again, isn't that a common trait in romance novels? Despite this, the familiarity didn't detract from the overall enjoyment. As a proud Minnesotan and a baseball enthusiast, I found an extra layer of connection to the story. The author's portrayal of the setting and the baseball elements resonated with my personal experiences and interests. It's an ideal companion for a cruise or a summer beach read, precisely the category I was seeking when I stumbled upon it. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a breezy and entertaining escape during their leisure time.

Overall: Just Watch the Documentary This book provides valuable information, bringing the names and stories of victims to life. However, its narrative structure can be disjointed, resembling a Wikipedia page. The inclusion of the N-word, while quoting subjects, was triggering, felt unnecessary and unsettling, detracting from the overall impact. Despite the book's importance, these issues might deter some readers.

EASY AND FUN READ, WITH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE. This book made me feel like home. There were parts that felt like me and my lived experience. I will probably read it again. Some of the different voices in the audiobook are off putting in the beginning, but you learn to love it. I loved the ending, it felt right. I felt complete after reading.

Read it, you won't regret it! This book was absolutely brilliant. I was so invested that hearing a bump in the night had me in a panic. I had to stop listening before bed, it was so good! I would stop after the letter to the killer. It gives a really powerful ending. The information after that takes away from the experience and rehashed some of the same information. #RIPMichelle and thank you for all you did to help catch GSK (I believe she was definitely a part of the team and deserves that recognition).
