The script was immature and so is Leslye Headland’s response to another divide within our already divided communities. We didn’t fight for diversity to see white men eradicated from every scene of a series that came into fame from the hard work of predominantly, white men. Not only behind the scenes. You can now feel the toxic femininity pouring from every action and word and sequence a white male had in the first two episodes as soon as a queer woman has been given the creative rights. No children were white and male and every white male character was designed to look pathetic. It comes off as trying very hard to offend a curtain group or ethnicity which is exactly why we fought so hard for diversity. To end a series like this. Its gone from a sea of white to a sea of every single different nationality except white and what fans and the world needs is a balance. This married with the worst assassin and mystery dark force master in the entire history of star wars. Abruptly walking into buildings demanding to ‘Fight me with all your power’. Which was trying hard to be Kill Bill but came off as child like and empty. Without Kill Bills other cinematic effects this style of script is useless. It reminded me of ‘Star Trek’ meets ‘Days of Our Lives’. A program for the elderly or children. Not completely unwatchable. This series will be the first in the entire star wars films that is ‘difficult, annoying and immature’. But there is enough CGI, puppets and diversity to keep other viewers glued to screens while it tries to separate fandom and cast hate. Ill continue to watch star wars.
