I watched the West Wide Story Musical on stage many years ago in Melbourne and I think this 2021 Steven Spielberg film SURPASSES it! The actors in the film are are so talented that we can feel the characters' emotions through their facial expression, as well as enjoy the beautiful music and amazing choreography. I cried during the final scene and I still cry every time I watch that scene. Full credit to the amazing actors especially, Ansel and Rachel. Their love and heartbreak were so believable on screen.
