I haven't read the book and had no idea what the film was about. But I read the terrible reviews just before I saw the film so I was ready for the worst. It was amazing! Beautiful photography and great courtroom drama and plot twist at the end. I think if you haven't read and enjoyed the book then you have no preconceptions and can enjoy the film on its own merit.
