Very bad... With as good as CGI as good as it is now, they had a great opportunity to make this movie amazing. They changed details from the book that made characters more relatable. Isabella was supposed to be hot and insecure... Simon was supposed to have a fleeting crush on Isabella but deeply in love with Clary. There was supposed to be a love square thing going on until Clary and JC found out they were siblings. They took out the part where Simon got turned into a rat and kidnapped by Vampires. Magnus had a Crush on Alec and that's why he showed up and saved him. Their father was WAY too young... Looked like Captain Hook...it was weird.. he didn't look like he belonged. The demons were completely changed... There was not supposed to be a dog demon at the beginning... They took out the demon cops and the snake/alligator looking demon. Somehow they tried to make madam stay in her demon form looking like a human... They didn't show the shadow thing take over her body and she didn't change and grow 9 feet tall.. and why did they try to make that part funny?? It was awkward. She was supposed to be one of the most dangerous ancient demons. Also.. they had her mom floating and totally did away with the fact that she was in the hospital most of the time with Clary and Luke begging her to wake up, JC getting mad that she didn't wake up to his voice... I was just all together disappointed and it would be amazing if they got a director that could redo it with the darker less cheesey feel. This was giving me Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Particular Children (which fit that book: quirky humor parts), when it should have been giving a darker more mysterious feeling. More like Warrior Nun.
