This book is soooo overhyped. The plot was really interesting at first until the purging trials, which is a cheap replica of the hunger games. And Kai. Literally in almost every booktok video, most of the comments are like: "Kai, Where's Kai?!!" or "Kai😘🥰❤️". All he did was smirk, mock and obsess over Paedyn 24/7. And the "darling" was soooo infuriating. If it is a romance book than at least make the romance good. It felt so forced. The MCs fairy throughout the whole freaking book. And the dialogues were so cringe CRINGE CRINGE. The writing wad as if it was generated by ai.
