OK, I've been watching CBS Saturday since 2000ish. That and CBS Sunday Morning have been the way I start my weekend days for near 25 years.
So, when they got rid of Jeff Glor, I didn't understand and thought it was going to come back to bite them. Jeff appeared to be the consummate professional with a good sense of humor thrown in. He also added a refreshing buoy of testosterone in an endless sea of estrogen.
It used to be, I would sit in my chair glued to the television for 2 hours. I would even hold my screaming bladder until a commercial came on before I would get up. Even the banter between the 3 of them was enjoyable.
Well, in my case, with Jeff gone the sea of estrogen has swallowed the show to the point I don't even care anymore. I find myself getting up in the middle of a segment and getting coffee, going to the bathroom... and today I'm writing this because I found myself in the kitchen making breakfast, and after 5 minutes realizing the Morning show was still on - and I didn't care.
I guess the Woman in power has decided to turn CBS Saturday into another daytime show for women. If I wanted to watch The View, I'd record it and play it on Saturday mornings.
I predict that within 2 years, CBS exec's will have alienated all but the most effeminate of men.
