Jesus Roosevelt Christ, what has happened to this series?! I had been hanging by a thread since the end of season 2. I even took a wee break from watching, but felt I had become too invested to just give up. I was waiting impatiently for something to “happen.” Someone recommended this series to me because I love historical drama, science fiction/fantasy, and westerns. This sounded perfect. Now, I have not read the books, but it’s still obvious to me a lot is being omitted. I finally gave up last night after season 4, episode 6 ended. I can’t take it anymore. I tried. I even came here to read reviews to see if maybe I was being unfair, and I see many other viewers have the same issues - the storylines being rushed, the acting not as great as it once was (timing is everything!), the wigs (ugh! So distracting)… There’s so much more that has gone wrong with Outlander, and it’s sad because it started off so well. I wish they would all just go back to Scotland and get filthy and dirty again and take off their wigs. If it gets better, someone please let us all know. Maybe I’ll just read the books.
