Our church read this book in a special Adult Education class and it really opened my eyes to what the black community deals with and that some of us are not aware of. The example of a shopping mall being built intentionally on one side of an interstate so the black community could not shop there easily - that blew me away and so opened my eyes to what big business can do and does to discriminate. Excellent read.
