It's a musical they did their best but a lot of it felt slow paced didn't fit with the movie a lot of the scenes from the trailer were cut from the movie. Also the ending sucked I'm not gonna spoil it but they had 3 alternate endings and they picked that one. Also I don't feel like Gaga was in the film much to be honest I don't feel like she added anything to the story. If you have any family members in prison this might trigger you.
