SPOILERS AHEAD!
Sunrise on the Reaping is truly a work of art. Suzanne Collins is a master of creating vivid imagery. As a HUGE fan of the Hunger Games, I remebered details of when Katniss and Peeta watched Haymitch's Hunger Games and I was so glad to explore this in amazing detail.
This book takes the reader on a rollecoaster of a ride. It grips you from the very start. I loved all of the dramatic plot twists: from when Woodbine Chase is called to the appearance of Lou Lou.
I really admired how Collins linked so many parts of the story to other elements in the series. Maysilee Donor's mockingjay pin and the forgotten Distrist 12 tribute were really nice touches.
Not only that, the idea of Haymitch 'drowning the arena' links to how Katniss later starts a rebellion to overthrow the Capitol.
Overall, this book is a fantastic read that includes many plot twists. It will leave you on the edge of your seat. DEFINITELY would recommend this.
