I am a movie buff. I was always told BEYOND THE FOREST was a terrrible movie that Bette Hated doing it That it showed in her over acting and phoning it in So I never saw it. Well I just did finally. I thought it was a great movie. Good story. Great lines You can’t take your eyes off BETTE Davis. Joseph Cotton is dull but that’s usual. A real picture of dull boring small town life. I get WHY she wanted out of that provincial town Of course what she did was so Evil. But that’s the point. Isn’t it! I loved this movie!! Will certainly recommend it and I will watch it again!!

Natalie wood is wonderful and the fabulous Ruth Gordon is well fabulous. Yes it’s campy but memorable. Plumber is a sophisticated swine and plays it well. Redford playing a famous movie star. Why not he is!! I actually love this campy film
