the one part that really hit home for me was when she said that finding out she wasn't Mickey's biological daughter was when the bottom fell out of her world. Those are the exact words my mother used when she related to me that at age 16 when she asked for her birth certificate to get her driver's license it was the bottom falling out of her world to find out her name was not who she thought she was. Really left a hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach at how epically devastating finding out that you are not who you never doubted you were can change your life. The repercussions just multiply and Mariska was incredibly brave to share that vulnerability and turn it into a catharsis. Bravo to her and her family.
