For anyone who's served as RAF aircrew, especially non-commissioned, this book is a delight.
So much that is familiar, so much that didn't change even in this reviewer's career. The pomposity of some senior officers, the warmth and respect earned by others . . . . it's all here. Moving and poignant in parts and hilarious in others.
An excellent read, especially as this reviewer lived at RAF Tangmere so finds it easy to 'picture' where the author is.
I shall put it 'on the bookshelf' to read again.
