A book title of "Radical Empathy . . ." surely hooks us to read all about it. It hooked me instantly. Much like the first few notes or a few bars of a popular song. We're instantly hooked so we want to hear it. In this case we all want to read more about the first few notes of a book title such as "Radical Empathy . . ." Makes one wonder. It made me wonder! A radical approach to empathy? A radical militaristic approach to understanding? A radical approach to love?
"Radical Empathy. Finding a Path to Bridging Racial Divides" clearly is a reminder to all of us that we are all insulated from each other more than we ever knew, regardless of the color of our skin and ethnicity. Terri Givens reminds us that many of us of same skin color, different skin color, same ethnic backrounds, different ethnic backrounds, same sex relationships and more including that corporate ladder climb, that lifetime climb in academia and scholarly research, the eternal questions of love and marriage, and more are what Terri Givens helps us understand. With a "Radical Empathy" approach to it all. It works!
