Evicted: Matthew Desmond wrote this book from his soul. Not every writer has that privilege. When reading, I felt every human need of each character searching for shelter, food, or protecting their children from the evil environment. Poverty hovers over in every city, town in our society. It does not discriminate. Aileen is a mother of two boys, struggling to keep them in the same school at least for one month. She is fighting for that hope of a better day. Poverty is no dream. It is a destroyer of a person's highest hopes. It is one of the companions of mental illness regardless of age. Truly, Matthew Desmond has earned professional credentials and wards. Truly he deserves. As I read, the last portion of his book" About the Project". He displayed an "integrity" that no other writer could contain. He communicated,and lived with each person daily. And he saw the struggle ad felt their pain.

"Just as I am" by Cicely Tyson is of excellence. Each chapter placed the reader in the innocent moments of her childhood through the first day of her employment. Ms. Tyson clearly expressed the romantic relationship that grew into trublent marriage. But through the hurtful moments, she grew into wisdom from God. I admired the love she had for her family and the sacrifice she made for her daughter. As she aged, Cicely continued to grow in the knowledge fo life, graceful and discipline of her health. I advised every woman of every walk of life to read this book. I am so inspired and thankful that I did.

"Peace is the evidence of a life of forgiveness".stated by Lysa Terkeurst. I began to reading, "Forgiving What You Can't Forget" suggested by my daughter. I have no regrets. Her testimony, the scriptures refreshed me of how to really forgive. Lysa Terkeurst has been hurt, bruised just as I have. But reading her testimony was important, but more important was your relationship with God. I enjoyed her notes and the section that describes the "Beauty of Forgiving".

My first time reading "Charcoal Joel". Walter Mosely has the plot that kept my interest. All his characters had a personality that a reader can relate to. Each character held a personal history. This created a suspenseful envoirnment for the reader to determine how the conclusion is going to flow. I will be reading more.

Terry McMillian has displayed her creativity again. She has placed a group of Black women together, in the stage of life that can become stagnant. Each character faces health, sexual, loneliness from losing a spouse, or married an don't know what to do with your spouse. I compare reading, "It's Not All Downhill from Here" as tasting a slice of home made pound cake. It was delightful. Each character faced challenges, no matter the experiences from the past or crucial situations of the present, you must keep living life. Terry McMillian persuaded each character that age is not a dead end but a new path to a stronger friendship and perhaps a new romance.

Caste: I highly recommend this book. Isabel Wilkerson educated me more of the roots of racism in America. Not only the inhumane acts in America but other cultures and nations. Racist crimes and traditions were shared from India to Russia. A "Caste System", she clearly explains the actions and discreet actions that every Black, Brown or any immigrate has come face to face. I became aware, that I to have become a victim of the Caste System without realizing it. Isabel Wilkerson has perfectly researched all the information to educate her readers.

"Behold the Dreamers" had all the complexities of life. The family and friends shared the joy and chilling moments. I was touched of the human feelings and hope for a better life. This novel was so real.
