I love 911 (and Rob Lowe) and I was so looking forward to 911 Lone Star. I almost gave up after the first episode because of the utterly inappropriate sex scene between Carlos and TK. How can this show be age 14+?!? I would’ve died if my kids were watching that! I don’t have a problem with homosexuality but I do have a problem with gratuitous sex scenes on prime time television. Despite my disappointment, I kept watching because I has high hopes for this show. Unlike 911, this show does not have the ability to reach the viewer on an emotional level, most likely because the stories are weak. So far, the most compelling and realistic character is Judd. The rest of the characters seem contrived. They have a fire station comprised of a gay man, a Muslim woman, a captain obsessed with his hair and skin and a transgender African American man. Really? Transgender? It just seems like the producers are standing in a political soap box forcing their agenda down the viewer’s throats. I’ll stick with 911 but I’m done with this show.
