It wasn't bad. I knew what Madame Curie had invented and her impact on science. I admit I never dug into it too much and didn't know anything about her husband's role, her scandalous affair, her daughter etc. This movie triggered me to read more about her (cause I don't rely on a movie for facts lol). The flash forwards, though I didn't feel were done particularly well, were actually interesting. I read all positive and negative reviews about those but wanted to make up my own mind. I found those scenes really put things into context, both the positive and the negative aspects. The ending was sad because it seemed there was far more bad than good that came out of her scientific discoveries which isn't accurate. It was interesting to see that her husband (and she too) understood the magnitude of what their discovery could do to human kind but chose to be optimistic about people. It did make me think "just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should" but still, no denying all the good that came out of their science. Overall, I didn't find it a waste of my time to watch which is a big compliment given the poor quality of movies these days.
