People usually think these girls are egotistical and have a tendency of boasting about their achievements because of the fact that they're from a big company and all. But, keep in mind that once upon a time even their company had to start from zero. Apart from that, and though it was short, this 79 minute film explores the lives of 4 girls of completely different personalities and almost different nationalities by bringing us back to the beginning of their journey. It was unexpected to hear that they all went through times where they felt like giving up or risking their lives for something unprecedented. Yes, we're all aware of how harsh trainee days can be, but it was surprising to hear the excessive pressure they'd been put under, and the fact that they weren't allowed to rest well for months just to perfect dances and song covers.
To those who made misconceptions of them, they shot all those rumors down with their real selves. Teddy was right. Bringing out their personal story did speak volumes.
What mesmerized me the most was that instead of pulling out their achievements all the time (which did happen for only a few seconds; quite a proud moment) this documentary added in stars we never knew would be seen. Many believed one or two artists opened the K-pop world up for others, but music is a community and industry that is opened up by not one, but several artists.
This is the monumental peak of their lives, we've delved into it along with them to understand where they come from and how particular and cautious they are with putting out new music. They are fine definitions of perfectionists who strive to do the unthinkable, and I believe that's what inspired everyone who'd watched this documentary. I genuinely enjoyed it; I cried when they cried, I laughed when they laughed, I smiled when they smiled and felt a variety of emotions that rushed in.
In the end, they really did light up the sky with their feats - and it is a proud moment of their reality that we can finally label as true stardom.
