A solid entry into the Craig-era Bond franchise, it is somewhat plagued by the same problems that haunted most of the other films, that is a vagueness of both threat and plot, and too many story-strands, that even a two-and-a-half-hour movie can't do justice. "Spectre" is once again solidly directed and acted, but the characters still feel like cardboard cutouts, with the exception of Craig's Bond.
